Version 1.4.0

Post by Ryan » Sun Nov 15, 2009 pm30 11:57 pm

Hello all;

Version 1.4.0 is now available, with the following changes:

  • Updated parser to support Regnus specification 5.2
  • Improved helpfulness of script error messages.
  • Added function to escape entities from generated text.

As always, please post any comments, questions or suggestions relating to this version below. :)

Regards,
Ryan

I'm reporting some problems of this version of the PHP parser.

The RATIO qualifier still seems a bit bugged.
Here are some examples:

Code: Select all

GROUP Protagonist
RATIO 8:Adam Sandler
RATIO 1:Rob Schneider

Regnus Script Error: Title-block containing no entries!
-------------------------------------------------

Code: Select all

GROUP Protagonist
RATIO 8:Adam Sandler
ENTRY Rob Schneider

Rob Schneider gets selected all the times.
-------------------------------------------------

Code: Select all

GROUP Protagonist
RATIO 80:Adam Sandler
ENTRY Rob Schneider

Both entries get selected at what seems to be a more correct ratio, but the result for Adam Sandler actually appears as
0:Adam Sandler

Okay, thanks for finding this: all the listed symptoms were a result of the same bug (a one-character inaccuracy caused by PHP's loveably schizophrenic string-offset handling). It has now been fixed, and all the listed examples seem to work fine in version 1.4.1. :)

Ryan
